Lighthouse Cafe of Sanibel Island has quickly carved out its niche as a must-visit destination for breakfast and brunch lovers. Located at 1020 Periwinkle Way, this charming café boasts a menu filled with delightful options that cater to various palates. Diners rave about the blueberry pancakes, Fisherman's omelet, and scrumptious baby back ribs, all celebrated for their freshness and flavor. Customer reviews spotlight the attentive and friendly service, with many guests appreciating the quick seating even during peak hours. The newly relocated café shines with cleanliness and a vibrant atmosphere, drawing families and groups alike. One standout mentioned was the special Travis Kelce scramble, which received high praise, along with the delectable strawberry preserves that complement the toast beautifully. Though the seating arrangement could lead to some sunny discomfort due to the large windows, the overall experience remained enjoyable, reflecting a lively family-friendly vibe. Patrons, including repeat visitors delighted by the café's resilience post-Hurricane Ian, agree on one thing: Lighthouse Cafe offers a memorable dining experience that keeps them coming back for more. For a blend of great food and warm hospitality, this café certainly lives up to the expectations of its island charm.

Food was so good, the blueberry pancakes do not disappoint. Everything was very fresh, service was kind and quick. We were a group of 6 and, despite it being peak hour, we were sat within 5 minutes of arriving. Great service, clean place, delicious food. Will return!

Truly wonderful breakfast! Every year when visiting Sanibel, we would dine at The Island Cow and found this place through their website, And so happy we did! Fisherman‘s omelet and blueberry pancakes were absolutely delightful! Great Attentive, Friendly staff.

We stopped in for breakfast this morning, which was our first visit to this current location. We had previously visited Lighthouse Cafe when it was further east on Periwinkle. That former location was destroyed by Hurricane Ian. We always thought their food was the best on the island. That's still the case. One improvement at this location was that the establishment was much cleaner, as was made possible by new construction. Fortunately, many of the framed photos of lighthouses from around the world were saved from the old location and adorn the walls here. Today, the special board featured a Travis Kelce scramble, which was amazing. My party also ordered Denver omelet, pancakes, and various kids' meals. Most meals were served with toast and strawberry preserves. The strawberry preserves were so fresh and delicious, everyone in our group raved about them and wanted more. In fact, all ages, kids, adults, seniors, were delighted with the food. Our waitress was super polite, friendly and attentive, One little issue for some was that the sun shines very brightly through the large windows at the front of the dining area and there were no shades on the windows. As one was seated, that bright sun shone in their eyes. We observed parties seated at these tables instantly requesting other tables out of the sun. Eventually, there were folks that didn't mind the sun as much and these tables did fill up. The restaurant was busy on a Sunday morning and the vibe was one of fun family enjoyment, because that's what people were doing. We loved our meal and entire experience at LHC and will definitely return for another meal soon. It is still the best on the island.

We visited on a relatively busy morning but immediately got a table outside. The atmosphere was very pleasant as well as the service. Food was delicious. They have the best side potatoes (Lighthouse Potatoes) ever! Only the parking was a little bit challenging and I assume you’ll have to wait a little longer on busy days if you want to sit inside.

What a wonderful experience! We came to Sanibel Island for a weekend getaway and decided to get there in time for lunch. We arrived at around 12:30 pm on a Friday and were greeted by Dan. As you walk in the door he greets you as if you are friends. The bus person immediately brought us water and soon we were visited by our waitress. I ordered Apple filled French Toast and my husband had their standard breakfast. We were blown away. My French Toast was two pieces of French bread French Toast with some type of apple mixture between the two pieces. It was amazing! In my 10 years with my husband he has never finished my meal - this was the first time! His breakfast was yummy as well with 2 eggs, little potato cubes cooked to perfection with pieces of onion, two sausage patties, and toast with an amazing strawberry jam. Best potatoes I have ever had at a restaurant. All in all were extremely pleased with our breakfast! Thank you so much!
